Lossiemouth Business Association
Last week we went to Lossiemouth to speak to Tony Rook and Bernard Annekin of the Lossiemouth Business Association. Good meeting and we now have a better idea of what the main issues and opportunities in Lossiemouth are. Very impressed with the map and brochure they have produced to help visitors to the area. A similar project we’ve seen in Forres. Great work from local enthusiasts!
We obviously discussed the opportunities for Space Travel, Golf and the accommodation offering in Lossiemouth. Our next meeting is with the Moray Golf Club and HIE has a meeting with Tony and Bernard this week. We’ll keep you posted. On the agenda for the next weeks is meeting with Cullen and Glenlivet-Tomintoul. Keen to speak to every community group in Moray so please contact us so we can meet up and share ideas/opportunities.

Brochures and maps are a big help for visitors, we put the Forres ones in places like Aviemore, Cawdor Castle, Fort William, Loch Ness, various campsites etc to try and draw in more day trip visitors, we also handed out loads of free car window stickers which had the Forres web address on, every little helps when you’re advertising on a tiny budget
One thing I would really like to see in Moray is a proper tourist information sign/board (with local accommodation and attractions on it) at each of the Rail Stations.
It should’nt be too hard to achieve if you have the right connections.

Hi,
Thanks for your comments and recommendation, very interesting. Let’s meet up at our office in Horizon sometime this week if you’re available. Keen to hear how you get the Forres brochures in other places like Aviemore and Fort William. Send me an email at rene@moray-tourism.info so we can pick a date.
Speak soon!
