Hi Forresweb,

I can't tell you anything about the set up of the new Moray Tourism web site, not that I don't want to but simply that it hasn't been discussed yet.

The Moray DMO is a combination of private and public sector and has to make money to be self sustainable. Good thing is that any money made will go directly to local tourism development.

ps, I didn't follow your suggestion up as at the moment we don't have a budget to buy domain names for a few thousand.

VisitMoray.com is re-directed to Forresweb which is fine as you do a great job promoting the local area. Thanks!

Thank goodness, in this day and age a decent tourism website is vital for the area and it's loooong overdue :)

So is this new Moray website going to be free for all tourism related businesses to get listed or is it going to be really clicky like visitscotland.com where people have to pay loads of money to get any type of mention in it ?

Is this a public or private venture to make money ?

ps) I noticed you did'nt follow my suggestion and buy Moray.com from that guy I mentioned a few months back....looks like he's now put the price up alot since we last spoke. Pity you did'nt jump on that one when you had the chance, one word generic type in domains are ALOT better than brandable domains unless you have large amounts of money to spend constantly promoting it.

Hi Forresweb,

Yes, time for talking is over, it's time for action! and yes, a web site to promote Moray is high on the agenda.

Thanks for the feedback!

Moray officials have been talking about what attractions we have to offer visitors for more than 2 years but it still has'nt started to promote it yet.

When is Moray going to have a decent tourism website up and running to attract more tourists to the area, in time for summer 2010 ?
